When applying the final coat, swirl the brush to give the wall a polished appearance. Check the label before applying concrete waterproof coatings to surfaces that have already been painted. They are also referred to as densifiers, and they should only be used on unpainted or unsealed walls. The sealants penetrate the concrete or brick and chemically react with their constituents to create a tough, waterproof surface.
